Adult Stores in Atlantic City, Newark and Jersey City

The two most populous cities in New Jersey are Newark and Jersey City but by far the busiest place for tourism is in Atlantic City.

By national standards, none of these cities are very large; Newark and Jersey City both have populations of around 300,000.

Atlantic City on the other hand is only home to around 40,000. But although it’s not a huge residential part of New Jersey, it is a resort city. Known as ‘America’s Playground’ and home to glitzy hotels, casinos and nightclubs, the seaside and gaming capital of the East hosts over 27 million tourists each year!

You can find Atlantic City in Atlantic County along the state’s eastern coast whilst Newark in Essex County and Jersey City in Hudson County are situated in the northeast corner of the state.

Atlantic County

Named for its coastal position on the south eastern shores of New Jersey, Atlantic County is home to a population of around 280,000.

Bergen County

Burlington County

Located in the center of New Jersey, Burlington County has a population of around 470,000 and stretches right across the state.

With a northern border on the Delaware River and its southern tip reaching the tidal estuaries of the Great Bay, the area is known as Delaware Valley.

Camden County

With just a single adult store, Camden County in the southwest of New Jersey has limited XXX shopping opportunities.

Situated in Brooklawn, the Carnival store is a ‘traditional’ US adult video store with peep shows, talk booths and video rentals.

Cumberland County

Situated in the south of New Jersey on Delaware Bay, Cumberland County is home to a population of around 150,000 people.

The main city is Vineland and it’s here where you will find the area’s adult stores.

There are four to choose from including two adult book stores which sell DVDs, magazines, novelties and gifts.

Your other options in Vineland is through Victoria’s Secret and Spencer’s Novelty, both store in the Cumberland Mall.

Essex County

Located in the northwest corner of New Jersey, Essec County is another populous area of the state with an estimated 900,000 people calling it home.

Here you can find the busiest city in the Garden State, Newark.

Hudson County

Situated on the Hudson River, directly opposite NYC, Hudson County might well be home to over ¾ million people but there are very few adult stores here.

You can find just two in Jersey City and these are limited with what they hold in store. Pretty much you are limited to lingerie and novelty goods only.

Mercer County

Home of the state capital, Trenton, Mercer County lies on the western border of New Jersey on the Delaware River.

With a population of around 390,000 it’s not a densely packed part of the Garden State but you can still find some decent adult stores.

Middlesex County

Located on the eastern side of New Jersey and overlooking Staten Island, Middlesex County is a pretty central place to be.

Passaic County

Located in the north of New Jersey on the border with the State of New York, Passaic County has a population of more than 520,000.

It’s another densely packed part of the Garden State and is a largely urban part of the country.

You can find a couple of places to go adult shopping here including Passaic and Wayne. Between these two municipalities you can pick up the basics including lingerie, magazines, DVDs and sex toys.

Somerset County

A central area of New Jersey, Somerset County has a population of around 350,000.

Union County

Although one of the smallest counties in New Jersey, Union County is a densely populated part of the state with over 575,000 people.

The county seat and largest town is Elizabeth where you can find several great adult stores.

You can also check out a handful of sex shops in Union Township.
